One morning in Bangkok

I awoke at 0530, as the hotel's breakfast opens at 6 and I wanted to beat the pack. Issey agrees with an early breakfast, but my parents point out that it only really takes 15 minutes to eat, and we meet our tour group to check out at 0815, so instead I'm going for a morning walk with them, to eat breakfast after. It feels like my internal clock has adjusted properly, It absolutely feels like i went to bed at 11 and woke at 0530, but my stomach still has some catching up to do. I'm Starving.

We walk in a 2 block area around our hotel; a short work for a late start. Dad has found a coffee shop with a rating of 4.8 ⭐, so we head there. We pass beautiful buildings adorned with dragons, as well as many well fed street cats.
we walk to the spot on the map the cafe is listed, but we don't see it. We search around and eventually find that the cafe is a little street cart we'd accidentally bypassed twice. The coffee is great. The lady running the shop has a hot plate heated by a vat of boiling water that she pours through strainer nets of coffee into our keep cups. She is very skilled, and the whole process is a wonder to me. It looks like science.

we walk on, passing a few bikes that dad calls "Old style, but with mostly new parts." I just think they look nice.
As we continue around our walk, we run into a beautiful street adorned with trees and plants on both sides, with locals showing off their english, bidding us hello and good morning. I wait for a red light, and run out to the makeshift roundabout in the middle of the intersection to take a photo
We walk along and back to our hotel, where we have a mix of thai and white person food for breakfast. A good start to our day.
