A great hike
Today, we start a hike. We buy three 1.5l bottles of water in case there's no access to water, on top of our day bottles and emergency water. We drive an hour up a mountain, where we eat our lunch, prepared to hike. We walk, along a road the size of a fire trail, but much steeper. Issey leads the pack. Along with a lot of cow pats, we find a herd of cows, with bells on their necks. we walk past tea and coffee farms, lining the road. The fog makes a wonderful view. Malee says it's a sign of rain to come. after quite a few steep hills, we see our village in the middle distance, and soon enough, we arrive We stay at a small homestead run by some locals. The ground inside has many thin mattresses, each with it's own mosquito net, hung off wires. We take part in roasting, sifting and grinding fresh coffee beans. We're told it's for tomorrow morning at breakfast. We eat out dinner on a mat on the floor, collecting dishes we wanted from a table. We all sleep. Badly. A loc...
